So you're the one I've been making blood sacrifices to before every game of NetHack? Tell me, what do I need to offer in order to do slightly better than completely and totally sucking? Do you need, like, a unicorn or something?

Yeah, that was...wow. Poor Elan. But not poor Nale, because he friggin deserved it.

Huh, that was random. On the other hand that means we'll need another group of baddies for the heroes to fight while they quest for the other gate

Well that was a waste of Willpower, you got a nat 6 on that attack there, Kav. But you where doing something within the bounds of fist-a-cuffs so you only needed a three or better.

Given the way John's luck has been, I figured it was worth having the insurance.

And immediately followed by a natural 1.

I'm just relieved he made it through the window. With a natural 1, I'd have half expected him to just splatter like a bird.

You said egress and street. Quickest point between two points is a line. Natural one made that happen for you. I promise I will not try and intentionally kill John because that would be boring. We are working on Pulpy Fiction Physics here.

Is this level of constant failure on John's part actually written into the rules, or have our players just been really unlucky?

Classic mistake, Lachlan. Should've used XOR.

Doesn't seem necessary, the answer was satisfactory.

Not that it would have helped. It would get you only the info weither only one or (none or both) are correct. Still you would not know which one is.

The level of failure is dependent on who ever is running the game. I have been lenient compared to how I have seen other people play. I have been allowing partial success where others would put in outright failure with more turnovers in the voices in control of John.

Sorry about that---real life has been rather distracting recently. Bid sent.

And now to go actually read the thread and find out what's happening :D

Actually, I spend 2 wp for this search

Since I just had a good result and my luck is really bad, so something bad is going to happen right about now

Hmmm, methinks this 'Doctor' must have some time travel powers, as that seemed eerily precognitive.

Spend 1 more wp
I'll save the last one for an emergency. Figured if I fail here, I give up control anyway

And yes, I saw that one coming. I'm really bad with dice when it matters and really good when it's something trivial

Also, I kinda like the mental image of John jumping out of the window as a suave badass and immediately hopping right back as a professional surgeon. With completely different face expressions, tones of voice and some of the facial features twisted

Using the last of my wp here

This comes a page late, but I want to believe that I'm the far right voice in the far left's clothes, if that makes any sense

Actually, when I'm rping, all my characters somehow turn out deranged in one way or the other. Don't ask me about this last scene :3

I want to go back to the septic tank. It was nice and safe in the septic tank, and nobody tried to perform brain surgery.

*Manic grin* Have any of you played Surgeon Simulator? Cause that is where we where headed before the natural one. This is great fun and I think my madness has you all outstripped if you are quailing over a little thing like this.
